Proposed Amendment to Jet-14 Constitution

Background: Over the past 10 years, the web has become a much more important part of the Class. Most if not all of the work regarding our website must be done by a single person called “Webmaster”. The Governing Board recommends the Webmaster position be added  as a member of the Governing Board.

Per the Constitution, changes to it must be voted on by the membership.

Proposed Amendment: Article XII A.1 shall be amended to read as follows:

“The Governing Board shall consist of the Executive Officers, the District Vice Presidents, all past Presidents so long as they retain Active membership in the Association, “Jet Blasts” Editor, Webmaster and not more than two Members-at-Large. The President shall be chairman.”

NOTE: The change entails simply adding the word “Webmaster” after “Jet Blasts” Editor.

Here’s how to vote:

If you are a member of a fleet, you must vote through your fleet. The fleet captain, secretary or other organized fleet member should tally and report the fleet’s vote either at the Annual Meeting at Saratoga, or by sending it to Joy Shipman---email is acceptable. You cannot send in your vote or vote separately at the Meeting on an individual basis. All fleets represented at the Meeting should have a representative prepared to report the fleet’s vote. Or, if there will be no representation, the fleet can send in the vote beforehand, or send in a proxy.

If you are not part of a fleet (unattached member), you may do one of the following: 1) vote individually at the Meeting, 2) send in your vote to Joy beforehand, or 3) send in a proxy.
