Dear Sailor,
Did you and your friends start sailing
in dinghies? A moment of your time can
help promote more dinghy sailing.
The Jet 14 Class is trying to get more
sailors on the water. But because of fantastic
success the Class is now short of boats.
Though 1100+ Jets were built, a good portion “disappeared” as owners
sold boats and valuable contact information was lost. Hopefully you and your friends can help.
Maybe you’ve run across the Jet 14: It
was first marketed in the 1950s. The 14-footer
is slightly larger than an FJ. It has a
plumb bow like its larger cousin, the Thistle.
The boat was later rigged for a spinnaker. Its mainsail has a 1950s-style jet airplane
insignia near the top.
Please help promote dinghy and Jet 14
sailing by giving any leads to the Class.
Maybe your contact is interested in selling their boat. Perhaps they know
where their sold boat ended up. Anyhow,
we in the Jet 14 Class wish to extend to you and them a free issue of our Class
Newsletter Jet Blasts. The newsletter tells all the exciting developments
and news in the Class.
Simply reply with an email, drop a line
or call us with any leads. On the
reverse side is a lead form for your convenience.
I hope you enjoy your free Jet
Blast. Thank you for your
support.
